As I was preparing to go out my daughter's for dinner last night, I decided to leave a bit earlier and go a little further south to the area I was at yesterday. Gale reported a Canada Warbler not too far from there and I thought my detour might be worthwhile.  And it was!

I found this gorgeous life bird almost immediately; its sweet song easily gave away its location.  Apparently this bird prefers moist, thick undergrowth and finding it near a creek seemed to be the perfect spot.

I didn't have much time, so I kept my explorations short - but I did see 3 Hooded Warblers, a couple of American Redstarts, 2 Red-eyed Vireos, a few Common Yellowthroats, several Cedar Waxwings, 3 Gray Catbirds, a Veery, and I caught a good look at a House Wren carrying food for its young.

Later, at my daughter's house, a flock of Cedar Waxwings and company, were devouring the mulberries in her mulberry tree. And since I had my camera with me... well, I couldn't resist grabbing a few photos!
