Chirps and Cheeps

A walk through Beaver Island SP today ended with a wild sight!  I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw some kind of tropical like parrot.  What kind of trickery was this??? 

I was only able to get a couple of photos before the shy bird flew out of view - but thankfully, they were good enough to identify the bird as someone's escaped Budgerigar.  When I got home, I posted the bird to a lost pet page on Facebook, hoping someone out there will be able to recover this neat bird.  What an unusual sight for this part of the world!
