An out-of-focus photo of a Yellow-bellied Flycatcher, my first of the season. He's a bit on the early side - but a sure sign that fall migration has started!

A Least Flycatcher, another migrant that's just starting to come through the region.

This Osprey gave great looks by the beach!

This Blue-winged Warbler showed up in my yard, looking very out of place at the feeders. Obviously it too is on the move!

This female type Purple Finch was calmly looking over the creek at Woodlawn. It's probably a bird of post breeding dispersal, perhaps heading up north...

I heard towhees calling all season in my yard - what a joy to see this young Eastern Towhee, evidence that the pair was successful!

Another female type Purple Finch. This one is perched at our feeders at home. It's been an amazing year for purples, with up to 30 showing up at a single time. Incredible year!
