We had some nice shorebirds stop over in the area over the last couple of weeks as shorebird migration continues. Warblers are beginning to pop-up on their southward journeys too. Other than the magical month of May, this is my favorite time of year...
A lovely Baird's Sandpiper popped in at the Buffalo waterfront It's not often I see a Sanderling in a parking lot! How fun to see not one, but TWO Whimbrel! A lovely young Black-bellied Plover - again near the Buffalo waterfront One of my favorites, a Semipalmated Plover at the beach A Yellow-throated Vireo on the move... A Canada Warbler at Times Beach giving attitude A Black-and-white Warbler at my home A young Red-headed Woodpecker with its breakfast A Wilson's Warbler at Woodlawn was a nice treat A Cape May Warbler at Beaver Island A Northern Parula at Beaver Island Another favorite, the Blue-headed Vireo was a nice sight!
