I made two birding trips today which included Beaver Island State Park and then Birdsong in Orchard Park.
A pair of Osprey at Beaver Island were the highlight for me. They hunted and soared over the water, screeching as they flew. A few terns were about and a gorgeous Great Egret preened on a large log in the sun.
It was a glorious day to be out and I captured a few photos of the day and am posting below.
Osprey Great Egret Double-crested Cormorant Barn Swallow Barn Swallow Barn Swallow Caspian Tern Caspian Tern Ruby-crowned Kinglet Carolina Wren Brown Creeper
Great shots!
Where about in Beaver Island park did you walk? Are there trails near the water?
I keep meaning to go up there but not sure where to talk Yes, there are trails - go to the northeast part of the park and there is a nice loop to walk around.
