A few balmy days recently encouraged me to get over to a few local spots and see what birds might still be around. I didn't see many migrants, although a few Brown Creepers, Golden-crowned Kinglets, and White-throated Sparrows were still lingering. American-tree Sparrows are now common and it was great to hear our resident Carolina Wrens still singing!
