Today's cold, blustery Western New York weather brought a nice variety of birds to the feeders. I also noticed our heated bird bath getting some use too.  I haven't seen too many birds actually bathe in it, but I've seen many American Goldfinches drink from it.  I keep it clean and it's heated.  I suspect it isn't placed in a spot that affords enough protection.  I read the bathers feel nervous if they can't fluff after a bath in a place that provides some protection.  I am going to move the bath this spring to see if that helps...  But today, at least, the bird bath offered some nice, warm water, for our cold friends!  Enjoy the variety; I sure did!
