  I Have to Laugh

I have to laugh at how true the saying can sometimes be that, "when it rains, it pours". I recently saw my very first county Laughing Gull - quickly followed by a second.  So, I shouldn't have been surprised to hear there was a third found not all that far away.  THREE Laughing Gulls in just a few weeks - wow!

Seriously, this is a rare gull away from the ocean coast.  To see three within a few weeks is really unusual.  We had the first one in Erie County on the 28th of August and then a second showed up on September 2nd (read about them here:  Laughing Gull Visits WNY).  A couple of days ago, when people were looking for the Neotropic Cormorant that showed up at the Batavia Wastewater Treatment Plant, they discovered another Laughing Gull!

So... I just have to laugh...

A pretty Ruddy Turnstone was also at the treatment plant

This young male Eastern Towhee was a treat to see at the plant as well!
