Christmas Bird Count - East Aurora

The annual CBC (Christmas Bird Count) was held this weekend for the Orchard Park and East Aurora areas.  I was assigned to East Aurora on a cold and windy / snowy day.  Wind always makes for difficult birding and I was very grateful that Jajean Rose volunteered to help me out. His keen eyes and ears made the count much easier - thank you, Jajean!

We both agreed our best birds were a couple of Eastern Bluebirds, another two Cedar Waxwings, and a single Carolina Wren. I think these were all FOY birds for me.

Due to the conditions, photos were nearly impossible, but I did manage to grab two photos of a juvenile Red-tailed and a White-throated Sparrow at the end of the day.
