  A Redpoll Passes Through

I was so happy to see another Common Redpoll today. I believe she's just passing through due to the fact that she wasn't hanging with any of the other finches today.  She was pretty much a loner, perching in the tree where the feeders are, coming down occasionally to eat, then back to perching for long periods.  She did this off and on all day before flying off before dusk.

There are many reports of large numbers of Common Redpolls near my Orchard Park area, but I've yet to see more than one at a time! I'd so love to see several at once, but  hey, I'll still take an occasional sighting now and then!

What a great sighting. And such interesting behavior, too. I hope you see her again and this time with some friends. Beautiful photos of a beautiful Redpoll. Thanks for sharing.
